fashionably loud event hits high chord with fashionistas

Houston's best-dressed flocked to the Fashion Group International's "Fashionably Loud" event on July 24 to help recognize 3 of Houston's up-and-coming designers. The fashion-friendly fashion event was sponsored by 002 magazine, Mikel Marketing, Skyy Vodka, Star Motor Cars Mercedes-Benz, Graeber Productions and M Models.

Held in the spacious showroom of Mercedes-Benz Star Motor Cars, guests feasted on delectable hors d'oeuvres and sipped Martini blends provided by Skyy Vodka while DJ Graeber spinned eighties-inspired rock music to help set the mood.

Choreographed by Lenny Matuszewsky, the fashion show entertained the eye with creative designs of three enterprising young designers: Lex Chapman, Jenny Mac Neil, and Uyen Thanh. With rock band Luxurata's pulsating music in the background, the scene created an atmosphere of excitement.

The evening's festivities helped raise over $2500, which makes FGI's mission to elevate creativity and talent among young fashion students possible.

Attendees included: Jeff Shell, Jonathan Luke, Lisa Benitez, Magan Hunt, Kay King, Chris Rodriguez, Louella Hunt, Mimi Dinh, Katherine Orellana, Gloria Pearson, Lenny Matuszewsky, Patritzia Barretto, Cara Crafton, Heather Domingue, Kristen Estes, Grace Gordy, Jason Graeber, Christian Hall, Erin Kosmo, Sharon Mannix, James Waters, and Erin Williams.
